I entered the UK Songwriting Contest, and I got the "Commended Entry" position.

From a recent UK Songwriting Contest Newsletter:

"Other songs that showed above average talent and ability were awarded Commended Entry status."

Woo!

It was for the song "So I Guess We're Over".



Well pleased.

I'm also working with a professional and we're working on a pro version of "The Boy on The Front Page".

Should be up in about a week

Second song with my new band!

I wrote the lyrics, vocal melody, and played acoustic guitar in this one .

Not quite finished, looking for some ideas for improvements! (is the lead too "mental" maybe?)

Auditioning for a band soon.. I've had to write the vocal part for the audition. They gave me this instrumental track for this song and I've composed and recorded the vocals. Just a rough recording.. let me know what you think!
